  4. Thank you very much Dirk. I will have to find that from every hardware shop I come across. Thats because we dont get art supplies here, we have to order them through people. Sad. I know. I mostly ask people to get me some..

  5. How do you smudge the charcoal to make the background so deep black?Do you use smudge stick?Or something like that?

    I use Cretacolor Chunky for big areas. I rub the charcoal into the canvas with tissues or rags. Use 2 or 3 layers to get it even. You also can rub the 1st layer with a damp rag so it sticks better to the canvas.

  8. Hi! you are my idol :) My dream in life is to be as superb as you are. I have a hard time making any charcoal drawings look smooth, i can always see the lines of the paper, would you mind telling me what the best type of paper would be?
