  2. Do you prime your canvass with any medium first before lying down the charcoal? It appears toned or is that just the color of the canvass itself?

    I'm just so puzzled how you keep charcoal so clean!!?? Do you use fixative in between Dirk? or just at the end?

    I only use fixative at the end. Lascaux 2070 and after that Lascaux UV protect 2072. Many, many layers each.
